Voters in Russell County head to polls in Wet/Dry Election Next Tuesday
Next Tuesday, January 19, Russell County voters will go to the polls to answer either “yes” or “no” to the question, “Are you in favor of the sale of alcoholic beverages in Russell County, Kentucky?” in the county’s special local option election.
Polling locations will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m that day as voting locations will remain the same as the general and primary elections.
Absentee voting began December 21, 2015 and goes through January 16, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Russell County Clerk’s Office in the old courthouse in Jamestown.
This service is available to all registered voters that will be out of the county on Election Day, according to the Russell County Clerk’s Office.
