Volunteers needed at Mills Springs

Volunteers needed to open and provide tours of Historic Mill Springs Mill through out the week from May 26th through September 4th.  Mill Springs Mill is located in Monticello, Kentucky and is home to the largest overshot water wheel still in existence!

Volunteers will help visitors step back in time and learn how locals would get their corn and wheat ground by the power of thirteen natural springs.  Training on the history of the Mill will be provided.

Volunteers play a significant part in the public’s visitation opportunities at Mill Springs Mill; whether you can volunteer one day a week or more, it is a huge  asset to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

For additional information or questions please feel free to contact Lake Cumberland’s Natural Resource Management Office at 606-679-6337 or visit the Volunteer Clearing House.
