IMPORTANT: Posting pix of forum members
If you have a photo of a forum member or friend and you wish to post it in a thread on this forum, please consider the following--
IF THE PHOTO IS UNFLATTERING -- in other words, taken when the person is inebriated, improperly clothed, in a potentially embarrassing situation, etc
-- PLEASE DO NOT POST THE PICTURE unless you have contacted the person and asked if it is okay with them to share in a public post.
This common courtesy should be considered for all. This doesn't mean you cannot post personal pictures -- in fact, we encourage them -- but please
consider the feelings of the person in the photo, and whether you would like to see one of yourself in the same pose posted for all the world to
see.
We don't want to be the arbiters of this, because we don't know how the individual in the photo cares about it. Some may not care, some may even
like it. But you should consider their feelings and politely ask before posting a questionable photo.
ALSO, IF YOU ARE THE SUBJECT OF A PHOTO that you don't want online, please "Report" the post and our mods will remove it immediately. This is a
courtesy offered by the operators of this site.
On the legal side, if a photo was made in a public place, there's no direct recourse and it can be published. It may be possible that if a photo is
used derogatorially that some recourse would be possible. A "public place" is outdoors or where you can normally be seen by any member of the public
-- essentially, the same rule as when you drink alchohol.

If reported, we'll remove any pic anywhere on the site that the subject of a photo finds offensive.
