From the NWS - North Platte, Nebraska

OCTOBER WAS A HISTORIC MONTH FOR SNOWFALL IN NORTH PLATTE.
DURING THE MONTH...30.3 INCHES OF SNOW FELL WHICH WAS A WHOPPING
29.2 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 1.1 INCHES.

THE 30.3 INCHES WAS ALSO 1.9 INCHES ABOVE THE SEASONAL NORMAL OF 28.4
AND WE HAVEN'T EVEN REACHED WINTER YET!

SNOWFALL RECEIVED IN OCTOBER 2009 BROKE THE OLD MONTHLY RECORD
OF 15.7 INCHES WHICH FELL IN 1969. CONSIDERING ALL MONTHS...OCTOBER
2009 WILL GO DOWN AS THE SNOWIEST MONTH EVER FOR NORTH PLATTE. THE
30.3 INCHES RECEIVED...BROKE THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 27.8 INCHES
RECORDED IN MARCH 1912.

AHhh Squak we will just get another cr@ppy round of ice... lol or cold rain. But I would always rather the snow over a cold rain ANY DAY.

If this starts becoming correct i might need to reinstall the snow plow mounts. I did not put any on the new truck when I got it so the plow just sits in the building lonely. I just did not see a point for a few years until nature equaled itself out and the snow returned once more where it could be a better proffit.

I keep waiting to get snowed in down at Beaver some snowy weekend and not be able to get back to northern Kentucky until maybe a Tuesday. My patients might get a little ticked but when I practiced and lived down in the mountains, it was a rare treat to get snowed in for the day. Oh well, one can only hope.:cool:

Well I shoulda listened to Squak. WOuld have been a good year to had the plow mounted...
