Capt Dan’s Fishing Report – Sept 8th

August has come and gone, we are now into September and fishing conditions remain quite strong. The fish have went into the jumps Early this year which has been quite exhilarating.

When you find the fish in the jumps There’s no question that you’re going to limit out very rapidly. It seems as though the jumps are over by 9 o’clock in the morning. If you’ve missed the jobs the best thing to do if pulling downrigger’s or umbrellas fish the points and humps in 35 to 60 foot of water.

After around 9 or 10 in the morning It appears the fish are going to the bottom and resting in the shallow waters. If you are using live bait Stay close to the channel on the shoreside and fish. 40 to 50 feet deep. As always, feel free to call or text me at 270-566-0625 even if it’s only that you have some questions I am more than happy to answer them.
