Capt Dan’s Fishing Report – May 2nd

April is finally gone. May is here, but it would appear that the cold weather in the beginning of May, has remained also, we've got 7 inches of rain in a 72 hour period. This has brought the lake elevation up 6 feet in the last 48 hours.

Prior to the increase in Lake elevation fishing conditions had remained consistent. Although not every guide got his limit every day, every guide, at least, was able to catch, good quality fish every day. Conditions for fishing remain the same, best is live bait pulled behind planer boards from 15 feet to the surface.

Also the trash in the late continue to become a problem because of the lake rise, so use extreme caution when navigating the waters.
