Capt Dan’s Fishing Report – June 3rd

June has finally arrived. Fishing conditions have improved drastically. The shad spawn is over, and almost all stripers are out of the spawn also. Live bait and umbrellas are the best method for catching the fish at this time.

It would appear to be a very early morning bite if you get out there past about 10 o'clock. It's over. A few of the boats I have noticed down rigging are even catching a few fish. The water temperature at this time is roughly 75°, causing the fish to go a little deeper each day.

Although we have seen a few jumps. The bulk of the fish are coming around 25 feet. Fishing under the lights in the marinas is phenomenal. As always, you can call or text me at 270-566-0625
